23 Things That Really Bother Me When They Probably Shouldn't

Today, I have been so frustrated with everything. I woke up in a grumpy mood... probably had something to do with sleeping until noon. Its a lack of stimulation. One good thing about working and going to school is that I never get time to get bored. I'm always having to do something. Monday through Friday, I have back-to-back-to-back classes and only have time for a Rice Krispy Treat for lunch and on the weekends I work all day and am super tired afterwards so I can just go to sleep to get up and go to work the next day. Even though I wish for days off, I feel accomplished after a long day...

Today I accomplished
Waking up at noon--which gave me a huge headache because I usually get up early
Watching 3 hours worth of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
Taking a shower
Cleaning as much as I possibly could before 6pm
Eating Dinner
Type a blog
So basically, I accomplished nothing.

So here are all the things that frustrate me.

1. Dodging worms on the sidewalk during a rainstorm
2. Colored Christmas lights-- they are just tacky
3. The (half) word "legit"
4. Hearing the word "legit" on TV.
5. "memes"
6. Dorm Rooms--- they ALWAYS stink...
7. finger popping
8. Dog feet.... they just give me the creeps
9. Customers at my job asking if I am married. (All I really want to say is, "Just because I'm not married doesn't mean I'm interested in a 53 year old smelly beard man")
10. 12 year olds
11. When my boyfriend tells an extremely boring/offensive/not at all funny joke and laughs for 20 minutes
12. When my boyfriend thinks I didn't get the joke, then spends 5 minutes trying to explain it
13. Ceiling fans
14. the "color" brass
15. Making coffee
16. Rough Grass
17. Yellow/dying grass
18. Mismatching furniture
19. Being told to do something when I'm obviously in the process of doing it--- Parent : "Clean your room" Me: Okay *standing in room with vacuum cleaner*
20. TV movies
21. Dear *insert inanimate object* please stop ruining my day, facebook posts. THE OBJECT WILL NOT CARE
22. Surprises
23. Cleaning something only to watch someone go through and mess it up

I just need some excitement. I guess tomorrow I'll get up and watch Good Morning America. That'll be a good start.

So here is this mind numbing, and generally inappropriate video to relieve some frustration... I don't suggest watching past 3:09

To the Thief Who Stole....

Golden Girls,
my feeling of safety,
Full House,
my sanity when I am having a sick day,
the weather channel,
the 5am news,
and one of the few things valuable I have to my name.

So, I packed up all of my things from my dorm before I left. Including $220, DVD player, TV, Computer, all of my clothes, a lamp, a table.... pretty much everything because I didn't want to miss having something in the month between semesters.

Last night I came home about 10pm. I gathered the essentials out of my car and "locked" the doors. Well, at 5:10 this morning when I went out to start it, the back door was open. I didn't think anything of it because I had a suitcase in one hand and a laundry basket in the other the night before. I figured didn't get the door shut so it just didn't lock. At 5:10pm, I went to get the rest of my stuff out of my car; this includes DVD player, television and the $220. BUT NO. I only recovered 2 of the 3 items listed above.

Some @#$hole stole my television!!! I looked all over the car for it... (like I could actually lose a TV). It just didn't make sense. They left everything else! Even the remote controls! I am beyond angry. I have nothing. I barely own anything. I HATE that nothing is safe. I never once thought that people I live beside would be horrible, rotten thieves.

I’d like to say that it is nothing about the TV… but I love that TV. It was the perfect size for my bedroom at home and for my dorm room at college. It was clear and it had all the little extra stuffs that come with new televisions. I love to watch TV. The History Channel and HGTV are my favorites!

But seriously, I feel so uncomfortable and violated. A TV is one thing but, what if someone had been in my car when I started it this morning? I could have driven to work with a stowaway?!
I am so angry. I work so hard to try to earn things, yeah, the TV was a gift but now after Christmas, I’ll be saving to replace a television instead of putting it in savings for an even later date.

Can you believe that? It is Christmas time! People are so greedy. Near Christmas, the thieves come out. We have become such a materialistic society that we resort to stealing when we can’t afford little Suzy a Christmas present. According the NY Times, bank robberies are at the highest within a week of Christmas. Western Carolina students can attest to this because of the robbery at SECU this past Wednesday. Are we that desperate? Is money that important that we detest all morals for the sake of having a few dollars? I am just livid.

To the thief: I hope you enjoy that TV or I hope your kid enjoys it. (I’ll be leaving the remote outside tonight for you with a very endearing note.) And if you sold it off for drugs, I hope you stay high for a month. I hope you enjoy that TV as much as I did because it will be the LAST thing you take from me or my family.
